Congregational Care

Jesus was a healer. His example calls us to provide care and support for those in need. Our church commits to loving and supporting each other through good times and bad.

Our Congregational Care team reaches out to those who need help or encouragement. That may include prayer chains, visitation (homebound, lonely, sick), card ministry, meals, taking treat bags and flowers to senior adults and homebound, calling and texting, and sometimes assisting with tasks for those who need a helping hand. Throughout the pandemic, we stayed in touch with homebound members. We’ve done scavenger hunts with stops at their homes, had drive-by birthday parades, and dropped off communion.

For members who don't have Internet access, Pastor Chris and the church office provide weekly worship packets including a copy of sermons.

“I hope our congregation will strive to care, assist, encourage, and connect. I learned since Covid particularly that connection is crucial for all,” said Jane Ann Wingate Botzman, with the Congregational Care team.
